Element of Cheating on Video Poker Machines

July 18th, 2009

If you have played the conventional poker, you won’t find it difficult to play video poker. The only difference is that there is no human dealer to deal the cards and the cards are not real ones. You can view the cards on the monitor and play with the buttons to juggle the cards. This makes it more interesting- so much so – that even kids get a fascination towards the game. This is why you find non-gambling video poker machines in some malls etc.

As with the traditional poker, there are less chances of cheating when you play video poker. Initially when the mechanical poker machines were released, people were very excited. However the excitement vanished very soon as the casino operators found out the flaws to cheat the players. Simply corrupting some of the inside chains would help the casino owners by not allowing the high paying cards to appear. As the video poker is controlled by software that goes several testing processes before it is approved by the gambling association, the chances of cheating at video poker are reduced to negligible percentage. Still, there are pros who know how to play with buttons so that they can earn big by placing bets on smaller cards of the video poker.
